For most of my life (38) i've considered myself a left leaning anarchist (i like the idea of worker cooperatives, but would never force my ideas on anyone else. I've always been anti establishment and anti gov.

But i gotta say i got red pilled hard in 2016. How? Just watching the fucking media and the way they treated Trump. I always knew the media lied but this was overdrive watching the swamp/establishment try their hardest to reject this outsider.

Watching the left buy up all the lies and bullshit just made my stomach churn. I can never consider myself left again.

Trump is the first leader i've wanted to follow.

That's my red pill story. What's yours?

I've posted this many times before, and you might think it's funny, but the media constantly proclaiming Michelle Obama a "style icon."

I have fucking eyes!

Noticed a guy with a "who is Ron Paul" t shirt on at an old homes day event. Looked it up when I got home later that day. It's been an interesting ride since.

I love him to this day for opening my eyes. I was part of the money bomb and the blimp. I will always be proud of that.

Damn. Another Ron Paul supporter found in the wild. We are scarce as hen's teeth.I had Ron Paul bumper stickers and had a few people shout out to me. I had to drive past the local RNC on a daily basis for awhile and I would lay on my horn and flip them off each time I drove by. Rotten to the core.

Been a registered L since mid-90s. Always voted straight ticket protest vote, even writing Ron in once in a deep blue city/state. Neve paid much attention to news or politics other than keeping tabs on rights and dollars. Started to notice the lopsidedness of the media, and its effect on friends and family. Frankly disdained Rs and Ds about the same, but the unfairness of it all became repugnant to me, so as I've said before, "the right" didn't have to lift a finger to red pill this pede.

2007 watching the way Ron Paul was treated . A fiscal Conservative. "Dr. NO" Lobbyists passed by his office because he wouldn't take bribes or Government paid trips (Junkets) and voted no when some times he was the voice in the wilderness. I adored this man and his ideals. The Republican party shit on him. It made me hate them all. ...Until Trump came along and kicked down all their walls and claimed he was a voice for US. I love Trump. Ron Paul ideals , but on MAGA steroids X 10.

Add . Saw how MSM treated him . and have never watched since. Bunch of fakers and liars . Ron had huge crowds. Never covered. A gigantic farce.

lol. I voted for JILL STEIN in 2016. Her behavior after the election was ridiculous and the way the media treated Trump so horribly while constantly praising Hillary as the second coming was also a huge red pill. Then Trump actually started fighting for America and you KNOW I got a taste for that. MAGA ever since!

Was neither right nor left at 15 Watching swamp rats bush and Clinton get in I was genuinely excited when Obama was elected to make some change to the swamp. What he turned out to be was a limp dick liar who never got shit done, full of excuses and bs speeches, wars continued. Then the whole world started ejaculating Over swamp incarnate crooked Hilary and Donnie came in and called her out on live tv that he was gonna put her In jail. After that I was sold never looked back and this mofo gonna still be sitting in the chair on Jan 21

I was charged on my taxes for not having health insurance, Trump said he was going to eliminate individual mandate. I lived in AZ too and yes there are some nice illegal immigrants yet it enslaves the working class by allowing businesses to exploit low wage workers. The big beautiful wall courtesy of Mexico, gracias amigos.

Kinda same, realized the climate-lie after massing 3 ft of snow pack over a winter, which is unheard of round these parts. Plus, Trump handled trade with Chyna like a Boss. And the "reclaiming my time" b.s....

Fuglor [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Such a strange scenario. Everyone figured out the media lies but the media found a fix to that.... They just put "the science says" before a headline and everyone buys it up :P

What the media says the science says and what the science actually says are often quite different

For me it was climate change. I one day asked myself why Trump thinks it's a hoax and I started looking stuff up

2

Conservatives think it's a hoax because even democrats and climate change activists act like they don't believe what they say.

When The Primary was stolen from Ron Paul by the corrupt GOP establishment

1
eyerighteye 1 point ago +2 / -1

Maine getting tossed out of the convention was a big eye opener to just how crooked everything was. I had never been stoked for anything the way I was stoked about Ron Paul. Watching him have his chance cheated away was a heartbreak.

GOP can fuck off with the rest of the swamp.

It was the same for me I was already very cautious of media as I noticed everytime they wrote about something I was wel aware of or involved in they never got it quite right or outright lied.

And in some cases they obviously protected people with political history/influence.

Then Trump came and before he did anything they were slaughtering him and his opponent got the obvious protection.

However I'm still very careful misinformation online now as there is a lot of it even on our side.

When Obama won the Nobel Prize...but tbh it was like small red pill doses over time. Trump’s poll ratings during the primaries in 2015 and 2016 made me sit up and watch. He was resonating with the public. He was saying something that just connected with ppl. I thought he was running as a joke but then I saw what he did to Jeb! I saw what he did to Hillary (the charity roast dinner). Then I saw him doing exactly what he said he was going to do. He took on China, he built the wall, he banned travel from terrorist-compromised countries. The economy boomed, the data got better, the numbers improved. And the whole time, the media and elites spewed vile rhetoric on him and his family. The went after anyone that associated with him. The tell all books, the prime time interviews, the anonymous sources. They hate him. And I finally realized why - it’s because he is a major threat to everything they know and want. He exposed them all.

3
Fuglor [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Beautiful. Accurate.

The swamp creatures hate him because they want their swamp back.

When one looks at the Wikileaks releases of the DNC and Podesta emails...

There is a larger picture, it's not just a trove of the democrats being scum, it's a mountain of evidence that paints the picture that not only did the DNC rig it's primary, it's primary was so thoroughly rigged that it was staged.

Wikileaks proved than the DNC staged their primary, and their primary is the 2nd or 3rd largest election in the USA by votes.

Anyone willing to stage an election of such a size is willing to do any criminal act to maintain power, and the media were more than willing to help them and to cover up such an act.

If Trump was just any republican I would side with him just because the democrats are far worse, but Trump is more than any Republican. He built the best base of any candidate, even better than Ron Paul, combining passion and a willingness to dig for the truth, and he built it while being a flawed but very real human. He's funny, sinful, wrathful, smart, and most of all human, a trait rarely seen in politicians.

The 2,000 recount. I had only ever watched CNN before then. Started watching FoxNews to get more coverage, and couldn't believe the bullcrap CNN was selling. It became so obvious how much CNN was lying and leaning left. I have never trusted the liberal media since. So when Trump called out all their bullcrap in the 2016 debate, I freaking jumped up and cheered. FINALLY, after 16 years of seeing this garbage, someone is standing up to it.

My parents always listened to Rush Limbaugh when I was younger. I always enjoyed his show just because it was appealing to listen to someone rant all afternoon about politics and his skits/songs about Clinton were appealing. Much of that was superficial enjoyment vs redpill though.

Then I get to voting age and love President GW Bush but then John McCain comes along and I start questioning things a little bit...“THIS guy is who we chose to follow the great George W. Bush!?” Sarah Palin was hot though so again superficially I was ok with voting for McCain.

Then we have 8 years of Obama. 6 of which he dumped all over Bush. I absolutely despised his “leadership” but supported our political process. I couldn’t help but notice how polarized things started becoming over race. I wanted Romney to win. I prayed that Jeb! would come along to save the country.

Then emerges GEOTUS DONALD J. TRUMP. I couldn’t help but be drawn to his celebrity appeal (superficially) and was on the fence about him “There is no way he will beat Jeb! or Marco Rubio!” I thought...but I watched one of his airport hangar speeches, heard the comments about Mexico “not sending their best”, thought the goofy hats were a cool throwback to the 90’s and wanted him to stay in the race.

I decided to attend a speech of his in Sept 2015 and have been redpilled ever since after really taking what he was saying about saving our economy to heart. Redpilled now to the point of regretting ever having viewed Bush/McCain/Romney/Rubio as leaders to save the republic. I managed to shake DJT’s hand that day as well and have been fully redpilled to the point of remorse for ever trusting the establishment and I will never blindly trust any establishment politician ever again.

There's three sides to every story and the media only tells one.

The Kyle Rittenhouse and Jacob Blake incidents made me unapologetically hate all lefties. Fuck 'em all. I've always been a left-leaning centrist, but the amount of hypocrisy & double standards in judgments passed by the common people in these scenarios were ridiculous.

It's one thing to say we didn't know Joseph Rosenbaum was a kiddie fucker prior to his WELL OVERDUE execution, but it's another thing entirely to say black lives matter and ignore the fact that Jacob Blake (1) raped a black woman (2) in her bed beside her kid (3) attempted to steal her car (4) resisted arrest for 3+ minutes (5) and attempted to retrieve a weapon from the vehicle to inflict mortal wounds upon an officer.

Slick Willy rally in '92.

Mother dragged me there, shook the hands of both Killary and Slick Willy, at some point had a pink slip shoved in my hand to wave about at the rally and during the speech it hit me. This wasn't politics as I'd been led to believe at that point, it was a cult.

The google news algorithm in 2015. Every article said Trump was racist, didnt make any logical sense since hed been around for decades, and that led me to look up what he said about rape on the border. It all began right there for me.

I used to be a Bernie bro, watched many socialist YouTube channels, agreed with almost everything they said “a lot of it was trump hate”, untilllll the riots happened, now I’ve never been a social justice warrior and never believed america was a racist country, I didn’t know that it was a thing socialists agreed with because the socialists I watched were always so busy hating on trump, when I watched some of my favorite youtubers ENDORES BLM I was done with them, done done done, that was the start of my journey to the right, I started realizing that most of those YouTubers’ sources against trump were the main stream media that THEY claim is controlled by the evil oppressive government that they taught me to despise, I also discovered something that’s called “ANTIFA”, now why does antifa matter? Because those youtubers were my source of news and they NEVER mentioned antifa, at all, why? Because it doesn’t hurt the right, I never knew about the autonomous zones I never knew about the attacks on free speech, that was a huge red pilling moment for me.
