Semper Fi. I'm retired US Army, son is USMC. On his way to Basic at PI, I asked him why Marines? He said I'm going to come back and kick your ass. All I needed to hear to know I raised him right! (BTW he came home and we're closer than we've ever been)
That's outstanding. My dad is a also a vet (USMC 67-71) and it's a very special bond when you've both been there. Some things change but some things stay the same. It's fun to get lost in your own little world together sharing memories. Even the mundane stuff about how the lids on your canteens are always broken or something.
Semper Fi to your son brother and thanks for your own sacrifices.
Back at you. Met a USMC Vet at Lowes yesterday (he wanted to see my sidearm, 1911 Colt, like I said, old school Army guy) and we had a great conversation. Ended with the military terms that aren't well understood in the civilian world such as 'I had to go unfuck it after I screwed the pooch'. Big laughs.
And being a long time resident of Sweet Home, between Sen. Tuberville and Rep. Brooks, feeling some Roll Tide / War Eagle Pride these days. Hope they come through.
Do you know if he supported Trump yesterday? Hope he didn't roll. I have done a search several times and can't find a record of his vote. Maybe he hasn't been seated yet? But he said he would support Trump a few days ago.
Weird.
I'm an alabama fan, but tuberville has called the most important play, ever. I have to say,the has shown more balls than saban, who bent the knee. I can't remember the game, but saban jumped on the leftist bandwagon.
Love the sentiment, but more accurately "War Eagle". He coached Auburn. And I think in his new position, he would be okay with that. Hope so anyway.
Wow you are a very kind person. I tip my hat.
