Okay and that's being eroded so what are we fighting against becoming then? I said we're currently a Constitutional Republic (or at least we were founded as such) and mob-rule is eroding that into a pure Democracy... which will eventually become autocratic (because mob will feed the mob and grow into an authoritarian regime).

You're absolutely right about the SCOTUS decision implications. Now they just need the most populous states to collude and cheat in a few swing states to win control basically on a populous basis which is a democracy and not a constitutional republic like the SCOTUS is supposed to protectct

It really is the worst thing they could have done. Telling some 20 states that "they have no standing" in a dispute between states in a federal matter? That roughly translates to "States have no legal voice in the Union." So what is the point of being in the Union?

I have to wonder if this would apply in the other direction, but even whether it's hypocrisy or just plain cowardly impotence - their failure in this matter speaks volumes.
