If this happens it might make it very hard for anything to happen up until and even after the 20th. My guess is that the DS wants it to happen because if there's a shutdown then all these pending cases, investigations, and hearings could get put on pause, correct? Wouldn't this effectively tie Trump's hands?

The courts have failed, they have moral cowardice and have no right to decline cases between states on "standing." I'm afraid there are no civil avenues left, Trump knows, that's why he cut the military from the CIA, and all the personnel switching in high places. Trump is not setting up to concede, he is preparing for military action, it is coming, you best prepare also.
he's still in charge of the military civilian or not. if they inaugurate while the gov is shutdown idk if thats even possible but would definitely be treasonous i would think if not illegal (not that they care...) when they say bring back rule of law they really do mean bring back ANY semblance of abiding by law
Correct military side won't shut down. Civilians deemed "non-essential" would be put on furlough.

Actually a federal government shutdown would probably help Trump. It would cripple the #Swamp's "alphabet soup" agencies, then Trump can send in the military to clean house under the Insurrection Act. Guess the #Swamp will have to defend itself with no pay. TOO BAD!
