Regardless of the truth of the virus, the media has played it up to be the worst thing ever in the history of our country -- so Trump is merely countering that. We all know it is not bad, but there are WAY too many people who think it is bad for him to not acknowledge that a vaccine, placebo or not, will give people hope. From a standpoint of him continuing into a 2nd term, it makes a lot of sense for him to advocate for a project he championed.
