CSA's convictions were far broader in scope than just MuH sLaVeRy. The rest were quite admirable.

Edit: I highly recommend Lyon Gardiner Tyler's work "A Confederate Catechism" (1935).

Double edit: "A Youth's History of the Great Civil War in the United States from 1861 - 1865" (1866) by Rushmore G. Horton is also fantastic.
