-There is a self. (This is an assumption, an axiom).
-If there is no self, I cannot affirm or deny anything.
-If I don't affirm this, I cannot know anything. (Another affirmation, but now in contradiction to previous evidence). Once you affirm the self, accepting you can know anything, you're in. We all do it. It's sort of a "reason trap."
-Therefore, the self is self-evident.
-I must accept the assumption that there is a self.
-I am not the cause or the reason of or for this.
