Hard/soft atheism. Soft atheism is akin to sitting on the sidelines reminding everyone of their epistemological duty. You’re not really in the discussion.
Theology is a top/down approach to knowledge. You’re looking for “proof”, that’s bottom up. That’s what I meant about sitting on the sidelines. There’s no possibility of being converted without taking a leap of faith. You can limit your assumptions, though. Keep them simple.
