I have a family member living with me who probably wouldn't survive it. I realize I will survive if I get it, but there are other things to consider beyond mortality - like increased incidence of stroke. I get that some people don't want to take it, and that's cool with me.

Yeah, I can tell you personally that the needle itself hurt less than a flu shot. It's the after effects that suck worse.
