We rescued one of our dogs when he was 2. He's now 5. Because of his previous owner's lack of socializing him, he's an absolute jerk. No manners, barks at everyone, hates other dogs, but maaaannnn...that dog loves me. I am his best friend in the whole world. He'd fight to the death for me. He's a jerk, but a loveable jerk. I'd take him over most people any day.

One of our animals is a pitty who was at the humane society with a ton of warnings all over her crate/cell. Things such as Do Not Look Her In The Eyes!, notes about how she can’t be around kids, other animals, how she can’t go to dog parks. All that jazz.
My wife grew up with numerous rescue pits and her mom worked in veterinary medicine for years so we decided to rescue this one. She just looked so sad and lonely. Immediately when she met our other dog, she got so excited. Wiggling and all of that. Just happy and playful.
I had to sign around 6 pages of waivers when we adopted her.
It’s been 3 years since we rescued her. None of the warnings they gave us were legitimate. She is an absolute baby. She loves playing, snuggling, loves other dogs. She cuddles up with our big boy and is constantly grooming his fur. She wants to be friends with the cat but the cat brutalizes her (which turns into the pit whimpering and running to my wife for protection). Never showed any aggression towards anyone, adult or child. Hell, she cries if she feels she did something wrong and slowly walks up to you to try and lick you to make it better.
Dangerous beast my ass, she’s extremely empathetic. When one of our cats died from a rapid illness and our other dog was really broken up over it (since they were friends from the kitten/puppy days and grew up together, he kind of shut down for a while after that death), she kept trying to nudge him to get up and play. You could tell she was worried about him.

Insurrection Act needs to be used before Jan 6th or his options dwindle. At that point he'll only be able to physically arrest Congress and force them to swear him in.
