Second, CAUTION FRENS there are some real rejects in "militias" that will get you in trouble if not seriously injured. These are guys who know NOTHING about firearms, the law, or constitution. AVOID THEM.
Finally, there are some organizations that seem legit, proud boys being one, oath keepers (depending on charter) is another that come to mind. Find those groups but CHOOSE WISELY!

People think we need dudes with rifles, but really we need dudes who have experience with organizing and military strategy for large numbers of people. It's not hard to teach a guy how to use a rifle but organizing a large militia and being able to be strategic is a limited skill.

All veterans includes a huge population that’s 55+ I can’t realistically expect the 55+ group to fight in mass numbers. So for fun I’m removing them.
There are appx 6.1M veterans between 18-55
There are 1.3M active duty soldiers
That means there are 4.7x fighting age veterans than active duty.
I'm a vet and well over 55. You're right I can't do what I did 20-30 years. But I can still run comms and many other support functions if the need arises. Don't count geezers out just yet.
