Correct. You have to calculate the rope length for a long drop like you calculate a dose for lethal injection. I believe it is a bit more complex than just bodyweight, also need to take neck circumference I think. Still seems more straightforward than lethal injection, also his death was likely relatively painless even with decapitation because the blow still should have knocked him out. It just has unpleasant optics...
