It is pretty standard that public hearings have to be... public... in order to be valid. This usual comes with specific advance posting requirements, etc.

But that stuff only mattered when laws mattered. Such inconveniences only apply to the peasants now.

The county next to mine had an impromptu health district meeting in which they overturned their prior unlawful dictates (which they had already punished people for, but those punishments were not overturned) and replaced them with a new slate of even more ridiculous dictats.

Someone pointed out, and their lawyer confirmed, that the meeting was illegal and therefore, invalid. So the next day they had another meeting and declare the prior meeting to be invalid, then immediately reasserted the same shit... after throwing out all the members of the public for not wearing masks (decreed during the prior invalid meeting as mandated).

And yet people just go along with this shit.
