This is not enough. Protestants who think Romans 10:9 is the only part of the Bible that matter seemed to have missed the other 1000 pages. It's a good start though.
This belief by protestants is something that has undermined Christianity entirely and is part of the reason morality in society has suffered so much. You want to know why society has got as bad as it has? Well, this belief is party of the problem. If you want proof then read the bible. God doesn't take kindly to those who don't follow the moral teaching he has ascribed to us. If that is all that is required then why also there also lines about certain people not reaching the kingdom of heaven or people whose fate will be terrible because of how they behave? Why is there teachings of ideal behavior, roles and ways to act if all of it is meaningless? Hint: it's not meaningless. Just because you say those words doesn't mean you can willingly act in a manner God has told you not too. Just because you say those words doesn't mean you can break the commandments. Just because you said those words doesn't mean all of Jesus's other teachings are meaningless.
The people who think they can just say they love Jesus and then they go and act as immoral as possible are worse than atheists because these people know the formula for righteousness and knowingly choose to be abominations in the eyes of God themselves because they don't want to have to actually put in the effort to improve themselves. They use this verse as an excuse to be a bad person and no person who acts like this is my neighbor.
That verse is not good enough. The verse is what one must say to begin their journey but it is not good enough on its own.
