Surely I know we are a Trump forum, but we also give a shit about online security. Hence me needing a good password manager. I need to be able to use the same program on both my PC and my Android phone (synced)

Anyone got a good program? why is it good?

Enpass is one that I've used for a while. I like it a lot. I believe it works on PC and android pretty seamlessly. hope this helps!

Yeah, all jokes aside I just don't trust these programs anymore. I used keepass in the past before I was more concerned about privacy

Is Keepass that bad? Needed a password manager due to the absolute insane number of passwords I need to deal with for work (IT). I thought it was a lot better than other options because it stores data encrypted offline, and is open source, in comparison to storing data online in some website's database where you have no idea how it's stored or accessed.

Have you heard anything about keepass being compromised specifically, or is it just more of a general distrust for anything digital (which don't get me wrong, does make sense).

Don't remember specifics now, but I do recall KeePass being compromised. Try LastPass.

I've been using Lastpass for about a year - for free

There is a paid subscription version but most will probably not feel the need to pay for the additional features.

I'm a big fan of LastPass - it's a subscription service though. $30/year.

I have and use their free version. Works fine.

My family is able to use it.

Any time there are actual words in your passwords, they are insecure.

If you say so. Knock yourself out.

Use the best password keeper ever...your own memory. No password manager is foolproof. Protect yourself and your passwords!

I'm considering this now. People here got me paranoid now lol

The only computer that is secure is one unplugged from the wall. And I mean the power cord. If you don't want anyone to know about something, sure as hell don't use a computer to talk about or transmit it.

And you have a different password for each site you visit, and each one is as many characters (letters, numbers, punctuation, case-sensitive) as the site will allow? Yeah, right.

Been doing it for over 30 years, champ. Should have taken your Flintstone vitamins as a kid.

I have a great one. It is called paper and a pen or pencil. Write all your passwords down and put them where you can find them. Then you have no worries. I have been doing it forever and never lost one fellow Pede.

Just come up with one password that's so fucking stupid nobody would think about it
