Looking for a all around carry and home defense sidearm. Looking for something that's nice to shoot and small enough to conceal in some cases, but not looking for a super concealable gun that sucks to shoot, low round count, doesn't fill out my hand (which is large). Something I can put a light on and wear OWB but still possibly wear IWB concealed in a pinch. I've narrowed it to these two, but it should be noted I know nothing about carry ergonomics with handguns.
C2
-upsides: very, very good reviews on accuracy and reliability, perfect size, similar to a 1911 in operation and looks with those great 2011 triggersand which is great, made in USA.
-downsides: pretty pricey, not common so harder to find parts in the boog, holsters hard to find.
92X Centurion -upsides: much much cheaper than the C2, common and easy to find parts, great looking gun, double action is a plus in my book because you can keep it loaded and decocked and it is still ready to go with no safety to click, proven track record -downsides: slightly bulkier than the C2 and maybe just ever too bulky to realistically carry IWB concealed
Someone help me decide! Is the C2 worth paying $1,200 more?
Go with the Beretta. Starting with the lower model forces you practice more and improve the fundamentals of trigger control. I use an M&P 45 1.0as my first pistol and everyone complained about the trigger. I got so good with my trigger discipline because of it. Trigger control is everything at the end of the day for me. Plus I spent 600 on her and have no fears of scratching it up. 6 years without an issue. That 1200 in savings could be used on range days.
Do you want to carry 4.00” barrel ? Px4 does 4.00. Or go shorter ? There’s. Compact of the 92 but with a 4.25. I don’t carry ....yet
Px4 compact looks good too at 3.2. You can conceal that and not even notice
