It has been deeply discouraging. I knew it was bad, I had no idea it was this bad. I'm starting to feel like our only hope is a Pinochet-style military dictatorship for a generation.
The corrupt get that way because we the people allowed it, we stopped paying attention and certainly stopped acting to defend America from these domestic enemies.
No need of a military dictatorship, it takes a few good men to start killing just a few of them and they will start flying right soon enough. The ones that don't, get killed. It's not hard to solve but I wonder if we have the strong men required to fix it.

To be honest for me the Flynn affair sealed the deal. I support Trump but I always take the side of the truth and I just wasn't really following that.
I took a look when the sentencing thing came up. He pleaded guilty and I don't like lying but it was immediately evident to me that they were pushing for disproportionate enforcement as you could easily catch people lying under oath in the affair one the other side and also the whole investigation in the first place was unequivocally political as well as ruling innocent meaning that no lie really covered any reasonably enforceable law.
I thought it was pretty bad then but then the list of names who unmasked him was released, the note book proving without a shadow of a doubt he was entrapped which had been withheld from him and in spite of all that being all in the open Sullivan refusing to let it go.
If anyone in the US thinks they can rely on the courts after that they're joking.
There are other cases of courts turning corrupt on political cases I've spotted long before this but those are a bot more obscure despite their wide reaching implications.

What this means is in any case they can do anything they want. If in a high profile case the jury says guilty because they know someone's innocent but for a laugh then that flies.

These people have a tight grip on a monstrosity of a system, and now they're removing the mask, and they're removing the mask after all these years because they feel confident nothing can challenge their control. It's actually extremely demoralizing when you think about it, they've successfully brainwashed so many people I really don't see a way out outside of millions of people going HAM!
We've had dictatorships before come and go, what we face now is very similar to something like the Soviet union, but no other sadistic cabal on earth has ever had access to the high tech tools and mediums of propaganda that our current elite do. The US government machine, unlike the Soviets Union, isn't going to fall overnight, they have power and influence that would shake the planet if something like that were to happen, they've now devised a technological banking system that guarantees the ruling class will flourish even as the rest of the people starve.
