Guardians? Not Space Marines? You had ONE job...
Space Force is a mil intel agency, so it makes sense to not call them Space Marines, since that's not their role. And calling them "Inquisitors" or "Crypteks" would probably not fly either.
Fuck intel. I want a space navy and I want it now.

Won't get that until we start mining asteroids. And spoilers, whichever company first starts mining asteroids is going to be the company that rules humanity from that point on, both due to the sheer wealth at their disposal (even a small asteroid would be worth tens of trillions in credit) and in potential military threats from kinetic bombardment.
