So a liberal buddy of mine keeps saying that when Trump's lawyers are in front of a judge they don't claim fraud. He shared an article that did show a few cases where they said to the judge they weren't alleging fraud including Guilianni. Why is that?

These cases brought by POTUS are “civil” cases. Fraud is a criminal case. The govt prosecutes criminal cases, not POTUS’ private attorneys. Also, in civil cases, you only need to show a preponderance of evidence vs. beyond a reasonable doubt to get a criminal conviction.
