Not all care to listen but some do. I have registered on Twitter, thought I’d be a digital soldier, but got banned (you can say things like “Trump won!” but you can’t state facts and the Constitution - the irony if it, I know-, or your account gets restricted, so I’ve abandoned that pathway. I have also registered with a political party and have given money to it too. I’m doing my share as you’re all doing. It’s a fight worth fighting. It is tiring and time-consuming but when I kiss my son goodnight, I know that I owe it to him to fight, so that his world is a good one to live in as a future teenager and an adult. Alberta is my favourite province. I have been twice. This was a fair few years ago when the economy was booming there. Ran into a lot of Brits, Irish and a fair few Aussies working there (there was no work here in the UK and even less in Ireland). Seemed like there was a lot of work around. Next thing the price of oil crashed and Alberta made international headlines because of how bad the economy was and somehow the NDP got into power.

Canada’s population is mostly found in large cities/metro areas. 81% of the population live in urban areas. 1/5 are in the Greater Toronto Area, alone.
Urban areas tend to be more left/liberal, for a variety of reasons. Cities also make people weaker: they become dependant on the service industry, don’t know how to work with their hands. They become more “cerebral” (academia, theory, etc), and are thus susceptible to the novel, fleeting ideologies of the day. They become susceptible to “innovations” in culture and morals.
Canada has a very hokey feel about it—we view ourselves as a large country with a small population who are “down to earth friendly people who can do no wrong”....and thus we are naive. We have never had to fight for anything in our lives. We are fat, flabby and content with government handouts. We trust the TV and Trudeau.
In short, the political culture just isn’t there. It was, once upon a time...but I just can’t see it happening without something major happening.

To me, listening to those people talk, it is the sound of submission. It's not even as much WHAT they say (which is garbage) but HOW they say it. You may be right. I worked in Toronto some years back (I am American), and early on, I asked my Canadian friends how often Canadian federal elections were held.
I never did find anyone who actually knew.
Man Toronto is a great place and I obviously cheer for their sports teams but that place has been totally compromised by the number of unions who control everything.
Canadian federal elections are held if a "critical" bill does not get a passing vote, or when the prime minister declares an election for funsies. Other than that, it is also done every four years if neither of the prior conditions are met, but it's kind of 50/50 which happens.
Once the elections occur, the Territories, Alberta, Sask, and Manitoba ceremonially throw all their ballots out, because they don't influence the elections, and wait for Toronto to decide on a new leader to lord over them.

I vote for the conservative party because I think it's the best way to stop the Libs. For me, the most important issue is pro-life/anti-abortion, and it angers me that conservatives have given so much ground on this issue. I really was hoping that Leslyn Lewis would become the new CPC leader, and I voted for her, but unfortunately pro-choice Erin O'Toole was elected instead. He is very pro free speech though, which I see as a positive.

I don't know if we use dominion voting machines since we vote on unnamed piece of paper that have no security check but each polling place let regular citizens count the votes with pole watchers and its five people per table and not two democrats. It's mostly older people counting the votes. I participated in one and when le Pen got counted. They were fair but I'm talking only about my table and I used to live in Nantes which is left wing.
