This is what mask-wearers don't seem to understand. My sister is an avid mask-advocate. I've tried several times to convince her that they were worthless as a means of preventing the spread of the virus. Told her that if she wishes not to contract Covid, she shouldn't leave her house at all as masks aren't doing anything to protect her while out in public. She constantly repeated what she's heard on the news: "Masks save lives" "Masks keep everyone safe".... eventually, I told her to put on her mask, then I sprayed Lysol into the air. Asked her if she could smell it, she said "yes." I asked how she was able to inhale the smell of Lysol through her mask if they were so great at blocking water droplets. She didn't have a response. Still wears the mask, but hasn't said anything about them since then.
If air can get through a mask so can a virus.
