Hello to all this may concern,
Im a 40 year old man in Colorado. I have 2 kids and a large extended family locally. I was a Boy Scout all through my youth and received my Eagle Scout rank. I didn't go to the military as Id planed after high school. I got myself in trouble in my 30s and ended up with felonies. (sorry for backstory)
Is it worth it to try to contact my local militia to see if I can be of service? Im not eligible to own a gun anymore, and that seems to be a solid deal breaker. Just so its said I never had any legal trouble before or after this happened, and I truly believe Im a changed man. I know this isn't a well written letter, but it is from the heart.

Drive down to Oklahoma and buy one in a private sale. Fuck the government.
He could buy a firearm in a private sale in Colorado. He doesn't have to go to Oklahoma. But being a felon in possession of a firearm is a pretty serious crime. Pretty sure he'd do time for that.
I wasn't sure if Colorado allowed private sales without background check. Also, very aware that felons are considered 'prohibited person' but who gives a shit. If we get to the point where we need to exercise our 2nd amendment, I wouldn't worry about it.
I have a lot of firearms but only 2 hands. If neccessary, I will be distributing as many of my firearms to bystanders, regardless of their legal status.
Colorado does allow private sales of firearms, but it looks like they now require a background check through an FFL. (This change was made in 2013, long after I purchased all of my guns.)
I think this probably isn't good advice. If he gets stopped in possession of a firearm, he could go to prison.
Well yeah but if SHTF, who cares?
