There is one of you arm chair commandos in every thread.

Knife is a smallish ka-bar, I do have a full size, it’s on an Alice pack with plate carrier and radio. Each mag pouch holds one okay industries 30rd mag and has a piggy back pistol mag, inserted, look close.

I have more than one set of buis, I will never use them. All of the “must haves” for your rifles aren’t must haves if you buy good shit the first time.

My experience: nobody has the perfect kit. I’d advise keeping an open mind and stop being defensive. The things you perceive as slights should be water off a duck’s back. Always keep yourself in a "listen and learn" mindset. Yeah, you’ll have to occasionally put up with "armchair commandos," but I’d say that most people here would have your back 100%.

Then again, I’m old, maybe I’m saying all this shit because my testosterone levels have fallen off a cliff.

Na, it’s not defensive. It’s about the fact that there is always one asshole in every pack. Usually that dude totes a police surplus glock 19 and a Smith and Wesson AR. Fact is I just didn’t post and entire set. I couldn’t get it all in frame if I wanted to. I have had gun fights with way shittier equipment than this. A brain bucket, lbv, and 20” barreled A2 while I wore green camis in the desert with black boots. I can fight an absolutely have myself equipped appropriately. If there is a piece of equipment that proves itself to be needed, it will go into the pack. This photo is hardly the pack.

Smith & Wesson AR

(Shudder. I used to be a gunsmith, they were my most common rifle to repair)

Want to see a picture of a friends s&w? It’s in my work bench at home right now. His barrel nut was a bit over tightened. It was also over clocked, causing the gas tube to be out of alignment with the gas key.

That pivot pin lug was busted while REMOVING the barrel nut.

Honest to god I’d rather see people buy palmetto state than S&W or ruger.

I use spectra plates and carrier. They were uhm... requisitioned from DRMO in Jacksonville FL. I cannot remember the radio brand (not baofeng). I bought two, inserted batteries and hung them on the appropriate gear. I haven’t touched them since. I should probably swap the batteries though.

I’m weak 😂, and yeah I was looking into baofeng. But from hearing what your buddy experienced I’m not to sure any more. And also off topic, idk why we don’t set up autonomous towns for patriots if worst case of Kamala presidency.

I know where two of those towns exist. One quite small and more of a family settlement. The other, the other is huuuuuuuge and ready for the big dance party.

I wouldn’t call him my buddy. He’s a good guy and I like him. But he gets out there a bit. A bit too far and a bit too kooky for me. But his experience is why I didn’t buy baofeng radios.
