Trump doesn't scrutinize everyone that gets invited to events at the White House himself. There's an army of staff that handle that stuff. Most likely what happened is everyone in the GOP got an invite for a Christmas party and he took the offer.
Hopefully Trump notices him, if he's there, and gives him a piece of his mind though.
Like I said, he's a governor of a state. Probably got invited by staff along with every other governor and Trump either didn't notice or didn't care. There's already a dozen or so recent posts saying that, and comments in the threads talking about the photos of him at the Christmas party. Even some calling anyone a "doomer" who says that Kemp isn't secretly helping Trump.
My answer to some of that is, if Kemp was part of some big sting, the sting is over... they were caught. Why would they continue the trap and risk the senate. That wouldn’t make sense.

Its been 2 months and everything has been revealed. There's absolutely no logical reason to continue the sting. Biden is weeks away from being sworn in, he just got 306 EC votes.....the time to shit or get off the pot is now (should have been before Dec 14th).
Theres a lot of theories here that depend on people who have or will stab us in the back to "end this and move on"
Perhaps we need a "unfounded theory" flair. I don't think quashing every theory is productive. This is what Twitter does. Call them out on it, debunk it, be nice. Move. On.
The problem is people seem to have lost all common sense. There's nothing wrong with theories. But this theory makes zero sense. All of Kemp's actions have been anti-Trump. Like I said, if he was secretly working with Trump, he could have guaranteed Trump's re-election by now.
But now its too late. He's a governor. Georgia already cast its EC votes for Biden.
