Thought for a while now it can not be that hard to engineer a bulletproof election system with 0% of cheating.

The current one looks like Win95, shit added and added and added. Unnecessary increased complexity. Leaving the door for bugs (fraud) wide open.

This should actually all be a very efficient and secure process. They say it is but the reality is its the EXACT opposite.

Its not easy. We need to not computerize the voting, we should only computerize the identification. The vote counting is the thing that counts, and we should go to a machine that just adds with a button. If the votes are more than the identification, then we don't count that district.

This actually should be easy.

  1. issue national voter id. Secure matched to SSN, with smart chip inside
  2. when voter goes in person to poll, they dip the chip into reder which checks them in at poll book, must use pin to unlock card, just like us army does to digitally sign documents
  3. they issue you a randomly generated cryptographic keycard separate from your id, that cannot be linked back to your id.
  4. you use this card to activate voting machine that then prints a receipt with crypto key when done. It also posts the vote to a public blockchain with serial num of device, and all vote information, signed with the crypto key on your receipt.
  5. BEFORE you leave the polls, you can verify that your vote exists on blockchain with the key from your phone or other device present.
  6. anyone and everyone can see and tally the votes without being able to link back to any personal info.
  7. keep your receipt and you can verify your vote at any time i the future
