I enjoy reading the historic laws and court cases. Sometimes I learn some interesting things. Dred Scott was far worse than I thought; it said that even free black people couldn't be US citizens. Brown v. Board contains a really malicious legal theory of integration that most people don't know about. And Deprivation of Rights applies to prosecutors and judges, not just police officers like you might have thought.

There was also an interesting test case about military tribunals, right after our first Civil War. The Supreme Court decided that military tribunals could try civilians within the occupied states only if there were no functioning courts.

Given the failures of both state and federal courts during this ridiculously corrupt vote counting process, it seems that Trump could declare certain areas to be without functioning courts. That would justify holding military tribunals on US soil, making the Insurrection Act much easier to enforce.
