If I were to go (idk, I still might, but on the West Coast and may instead try to participate or organize something locally), I would buy an inexpensive RV and stay in it. Or rent one, there are plenty of deals on craigslist, for instance. Maybe rent a car or just cab around but stay outside of DC.
There is public transportation, isn't there? Besides that, carpooling can be easily coordinated, maybe hiring busses or vans, something of the sort.
The few times I've been to DC, driving in was a nightmare, and if a couple of million people descend onto it... Idk. I would start planning the logistics now.

Appreciate the sentiment, but you’ll find no where safe to park it within an hour of DC.
