Good one, fuck the dems for shutting down half the jobs for the past year. Correct that and make it illegal to ever do again and I’ll be on board.

31
Dave___Smith 31 points ago +31 / -0

Lol make it illegal to do that again as if that fucking matters. It’s already illegal. I love your spirit tho

DaveMastor 58 points ago +60 / -2

Jordan is right.

We don't need stimulus that comes from our own pockets. We need the economy back open and the government's hand out of our wallets.

28
GreatAgain 28 points ago +33 / -5

Why are you opposed to the government giving us our own money back. As a white middle class family man I basically never get anything for my taxes. The stimulus is the first time I have ever gotten something for my tax dollars.

Seems silly to be against them, considering it is my money in the first place.

16
TheEnclave89 16 points ago +16 / -0

I think White middle class families, and all families for that matter, need to have income tax abolished if we get noting for the tax imposed onto us. When one considers that income tax to be originally a temporary war tax for WW1, it's ridiculous that we even pay such a tax.

11
MAGA_Flocka_Flame 11 points ago +11 / -0

That’s how it always goes, it starts off as a “temporary thing” and then never goes away

The UK’s income tax started to help fund the Napoleonic War and never went away

8
NerBolanski 8 points ago +9 / -1

once government starts getting your taxes, they become addicted and you know the story with addicts.

1
HeIsVigo 1 point ago +1 / -0

You never need one but you always need another.

2
TheEnclave89 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly.

4
Mr-J 4 points ago +4 / -0

temporary, just like these masks and lockdowns

1
TheEnclave89 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly, "temporary" is code word for permanent

1
GreatAgain 1 point ago +2 / -1

How does that help you if you aren’t working because of the fake pandemic?

2
TheEnclave89 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree with you, there needs to be assistance for all of our people who are unemployed or lost their business. We could evict all the illegals and genetically distant, stop foreign aid and redirect it to our folks. That's one solution.

2
GreatAgain 2 points ago +2 / -0

Absolutely based.

2
TheEnclave89 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thanks, it's the only way.

9
SteelMongoose 9 points ago +10 / -1

Because you're not getting your own money back. The government isn't budgeting for this COVID relief, they're simply borrowing for it. Oh, and they're also feeding new pork projects with it, so you're going farther into debt on that, too.

0
GreatAgain 0 points ago +3 / -3

The government doesn’t have to borrow money. They can just make it up out of thin air. That is what modern monetary theory is. The banks play by those rules, why should we be the ones who are burdened with austerity?

1
SteelMongoose 1 point ago +2 / -1

Creating money out of thin air would cause a dramatic devaluation. Like, Weimar Republic levels of inflation. So, we back up all this new money with debt. (Since the dollar is the world's reserve currency, that also gives it extra value, allowing us to run up this titanic debt.)

Someday, we might just make trillions of ghost dollars and pay off all of our debts with them. This would make the dollar worthless, but we'd also be paying off our debts for pretty much nothing.

If we can wrest our country back from the Chinese and other globalists, we'll still have the banks to deal with.

0
GreatAgain 0 points ago +3 / -3

Dude. They’ve literally created several trillion dollars out of thin air and fed it to Wall Street since February of this year. It has done little to devalue the currency.

To pretend that giving regular struggling Americans a check would be some horrific event is absolutely retarded.

2
SteelMongoose 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, they've created trillions of dollars of debt our of thin air and directed the actual value to people of their choosing. Ultimately, however, that debt is paid for by us.

The currency still has value because it is perceived to have value. This is because it is backed by the Federal Reserve. There is no such thing as free money. In terms of debt responsibility, we are saddled with much more than the $1200 parceled back to us. The second they start printing money without backing it up, those dollars become high-integrity toilet paper.

-2
GreatAgain -2 points ago +1 / -3

Yes obviously. But explain to me how them creating trillions of dollars since the beginning of the year has devalued your currency. What products have risen at the same rate?

To pretend like giving people a small leg up during an insane time is the problem with our spending is really dumb. How many politicians are out there asking to defund pointless wars? Which ones are talking about sending less money to Israel’s defense budget? None? Oh weird.

0
DaveMastor 0 points ago +2 / -2

It has caused pretty substantial inflation, which is only going to be worse tomorrow. You wouldn't know, because you've read a book and call yourself an expert, but part of my business has to pay some people in Euros, and the value of the dollar is dropping even faster than the Euro.

If you think it hasn't devalued the dollar, then you aren't paying attention.

1
GreatAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

So your dollar buys less what now?

I’m talking real life here, not international finance markets.

Can you buy less gas? Less food? Anything? When I go to the store, products still cost the same as they did in January, despite the government literally printing trillions of dollars.

Maybe rather than trying to shit on reading books you should open one. Modern monetary theory is here to stay so it would be smart to know how it works.

2
dthb4communism 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hah, you work for a living? Cracker, don’t you know about food stamps and welfare?

2
ThickCheney 2 points ago +3 / -1

The stimulus checks are more like a loan, we’re supposed to pay them back come tax returns, though Trump said he’d waive it, but still a good amount of those trillions the government spent is just new debt

-1
GreatAgain -1 points ago +1 / -2

Explain to me why I should personally care about the us debt.

0
DaveMastor 0 points ago +2 / -2

Absolute brainlet take. The money is coming out of your pocket, and if it's not, then you're a useless drain on society.

1
rikkyyy 1 point ago +1 / -0

well not everyone. what about blind people or others with severe handicaps... they'd probably get more than a poverty level check if people werent abusing it so much.... that was the purpose for food stamps and unemployment and disability... kinda sad.

1
GreatAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nobody has explained to me yet why I should give a shit about the magic government numbers going up while my family pays $1500 a month in insurance premiums with an $8000 deductible.

The brainlet take is to be against a hard working middle class family getting a leg up while sitting silent when the government sends Israel trillions or buys some more missiles to blow up some brown people.

0
rikkyyy 0 points ago +1 / -1

well... you do get the best military in history.

27
saintitchief 27 points ago +28 / -1

I disagree with this when you have democrat shitheads closing down people's jobs......

yes but the way he's saying it is that people are choosing not to work, which is true in some cases but definitely not all.

24
AsaNisiMAGA 24 points ago +25 / -1

That's an old Reagan line. He's not wrong. Just footnoting the source.

7
GreatAgain 7 points ago +8 / -1

Ronald “amnesty for millions of illegals” Reagan. What a hero.

2
tiredofwinning2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Reagan didn’t have an entire half the government forcing millions of jobs to be shut down either.

19
AdeptTrump 19 points ago +19 / -0

Ever since I got laid off I haven't been able to get a job as a part time food service employee, let alone my field. Fuck the dems abd rinos that fucked us over. For me this is war, they took liberties, my job and vote.

7
MAGA_Flocka_Flame 7 points ago +7 / -0

Same, and every time I see someone hiring I go in and they tell me they already hired someone

8
AdeptTrump 8 points ago +8 / -0

Have you experienced the "this was a great first interview, we'll call you back for the second one." Then ghost you?

5
MAGA_Flocka_Flame 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ugh! Yes!

I hate when they don’t even let you know you didn’t get it and just never contact you

4
spez__ 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lost two jobs and haven't been able to find another one. I would love to have a job, Mr. Jordan, but my fucking government is forcing me to stay home.

It's a matter of eminent domain at this point.

2
Pede3 2 points ago +2 / -0

True. It's not like we can just walk into a business and start working tomorrow. Most of these politicians are so out of touch with job searching. It's a completely different ballgame than it was even 10 years ago with the ghosting etc. My last employer even ghosted me on a callback even though I'd worked there 4 years. I found out from a former coworker that I wasn't selected

Jim Jordan is a snake. Can't be trusted.

Meh. Use him, sure. Don't trust him. But I'm not into being with snakes because it benefits you. Mcconnell and Graham are disgusting.

Exactly. That has screwed over so many native born Americans over the years. No qualified applicants my ass. Managers lie to keep their H1B buddies employed and make sure they get their visas. Add in outsourcing everything too. I hope that Trump comes down on that hard next term. Biden will sell us down the river so fast.

3
Trumperette1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you, again, Jim Jordan. Keep your check, give us back our lives. We know what to do.

3
Weallseethetruth 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes... But my business is a door to door business... I've had the cops called on me, blasted on Facebook and threatened just for doing my job!! It's what I do and what I know and they scared people so much for something that doesn't kill hardly anyone that they ruined my business!! We are barely getting by when it used to be very lucrative!! .... The real stimulus needs to be telling everyone to stop being fucking scared and go back to life as normal!!!

1
Pede3 1 point ago +1 / -0

Weird. Verizon came door to door around me, and people that didn't want to deal with them just didn't answer their doors. 2 young women wearing masks and they stayed well over 6 ft back. It didn't bother me, but was strange that they didn't have business cards.

3
Weallseethetruth 3 points ago +3 / -0

I refuse to wear a mask and I act normal and don't stand way away... I just don't even really think about it!! .... It depends on where I am .. I go to a lot of different areas and the more blue the area the more crazy they are about it!!

3
TrumpDynastyForever 3 points ago +3 / -0

I fucking wish. Waking up with a rumbling stomach for the.....12th? day in a row, rolling over and seeing the dwindling amount of coins in my change jar and knowing that i'm not gonna eat much, if anything, today if I want to have some left for tomorrow is REALLY starting to make me angry. Been living on granola bars for a week and a half now while these assholes get ready for their month long vacation in their second and third homes.

1
Pede3 1 point ago +1 / -0

Aldi has saved my ass with grocery costs. Granola bars are like 1.39/box.

Find a friend with a Costco membership and look for .97/.00 price tags (clearance) and monthly sale deals.

2
ouvrez_les_yeux 2 points ago +3 / -1

Your job is your greatest asset. Not your house, not your car, gold or jewels, YOUR JOB. Business owners know this, but I don't know that workers fully realize it. Greatest wealth redistribution scam in history.

Now take your $1000 UBI and be happy about it!

1
Mr-J 1 point ago +2 / -1

owning your own job (business) is much different than working for someone else but no UBI fuck that noise

2
Nekroziz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Federal reserve printing presses go brrr

2
Poneegryl 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, great, no shet. And what about those who got fcked by their governors? Not their fault, not in their control, and so many are just trying to buy groceries, gas, and rent until next month

2
jackrotten 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is a problem with this currently. A lot of jobs were permanently lost. People are flooding back into the job market. There are more people in the job market right now and there are less available jobs.

We do need jobs and to get back to work, but there are roadblocks slowing down this process. This is intentional.

2
tiberseptim37 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is what all these limousine liberal commies claim they want: the ability to contribute to society and, in turn, for society to take care of them.

...you mean a “job” and a “paycheck”?

2
starsabove 2 points ago +2 / -0

True . . . but if Uncle Sam sends me another stimulus check, I'm buying that new shotgun.

2
dthb4communism 2 points ago +2 / -0

The GOP needs to do more about helping the unemployed and underemployed NOW, while also making it impossible for the economy to be shut down again. As for the economic shutdown, coward R’s and RINOs were complicit with the Dems. Even Trump was complicit to a point. He gave an inch, and you know how that went.
