When I was a kid there were still old people around who had those tattoos. I saw a few at the community pool where my grandma lived. They never showed them off, mostly hid them in shame at their humiliation. My grandma was even uncomfortable explaining to baby me why some people always wore long sleeves, even on the hottest days, even in the pool. It should never happen to any people again.
I had a neighbor growing up that didn't hide it or show it off. When kids would ask her about her tattoo, she'd just brush it off. My parents explained to me what it was, and my father made it very clear that if I asked her about it he would kick my ass.
This is about to get very real. If we don't stand up to this, we will be asked for "papers" to enter a restaurant or board a bus.
I've already seen this in Michigan. A local restaurant had a sign with a QR code on a standard next to the hostess station. They demanded we ping the QR code with our phone to "check in", for contact tracing. I refused. They said do it or no entry. I spun on my heel and left. Bastards.
It occurred to me later I should have just said i don't have a cell phone, but I don't lie that easily. Also, a place that does that? Screw 'em!
You’re an antisemitic nutcase. Did you just attempt to equate Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler to a patriot??? It’s people like you that drag Republicans goodwill efforts in the mud and justify Democrat attempts of calling us antiquated southern Klu klux klan supporting bigots. Speaking of Democrats, why don’t you go suck off one of your buddies of “the squad” you weak kneed fuck. You’re either a shill Democrat looking to give us all a bad name or a real piece of shit. Probably both.
My mom used to work with a doctor who had one. He was a kid (10 or 11 I think, not super young) in the camps. Nobody was allowed to walk behind him in the OR because he’d freeze up and have flashbacks. He told my mom that the guards would line them up sometimes and walk behind them cocking their guns to torment them, telling the kids they are going to be shot. He was a nice guy but he had a haunted look sometimes.
My brother in law's dad just passed away.. happiest guy I ever met in my life. Lived life as of every day were a gift from God. Loved his family... As a teen, he actually escaped a camp after his family had been exterminated.. I suppose he could have cut a deal like George Soros but INSTEAD he joined with partisan fighters and fought the Nazi fucks! Great guy, quiet guy... But always happy and never spoke about the horrors that he saw and experienced.

It is, after all, the next logical step.
You are correct. And my grandma also told me never to comment on it, that it would be hurtful.

Totally the reaction of logical people who have truth to explain.
Right? My mom didn't have any problems talking about WWII.

What are your thoughts on Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Robert Maxwell?
I have a friend who got his Grandfather's number tattooed on him so he never forgets.

ngl, seems like very unreasable expectations to put on everyone else just because he has some problem. It sucks for him but come on...
That’s just what my mom said. Not sure if it was a hospital rule or one the nurses instituted because they liked him. He was a great doctor.
