Just some reminders for people going on Jan 6 PARKING - Parking will be at a premium the closer to the Capitol you get - more expensive and more scarce. Carpool if you can Food/Water/supplies - Take a backpack and carry enough supplies for a 10-12 hour patrol. First aid kit pain/blister/stomach meds. You may have to walk many miles - comfy shoes/socks, layered clothing. If you're a single, FIND A GROUP near you parking area if possible, stay with them. Antifa/BLM types will look for the easy targets. Comms - Cell phones or radios

BE SAFE BE PREPARED

Experienced trekkers, Please add your two cents.

Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far.

Might not be a bad idea to park in Arlington and hike in. Not too far.

A heads up on parking: I was listening to Glenn Beck last week and he was discussing last Saturday's Stop the Steal rally in DC. He said that law enforcement had shut down almost all freeway exits into the District last Saturday and that it was almost inaccessible for outside traffic.

Last Saturday was the most recent Stop the Steal rally in DC and may be a precursor for the tactics the Left will take for 1/6. It was less attended than the previous one, in part because the police made it much more difficult to travel by setting up roadblocks. This was attributed to a COVID lockdown, but it was designed to minimize the crowd that came to protest.

Keep in mind, law enforcement will most likely do everything in it's power to minimize the size of the crowd on January 6th. Plan ahead, get there early, or overwhelm the traffic checkpoints.

Those are good suggestions. I'd say saftey, food, warmth, communication, are all important. Do research on who to pack and what to bring. People will be giving lots of advice on this site, so stay tuned.

Would the dc trains be a good choice?

The cops will shut everything down when they see 10 million people coming, on the other hand if you can get close enough there will be plenty of people to hitch a ride with.

This doesn’t say anything about my talking stick. Should I be safety on or off?
