Argument: Communism hasn’t worked because it’s never been implemented properly!

Well if we’re still at a point in time where it hasn’t been implemented properly then perhaps it just doesn’t work. How many communism do overs would they like?

The sad part is there are probably many who lived under communism who were starving, suffering and abused by the military; but either believed that their glorious leader would save them any day now; or worse, that things were just fine and had no concept of individualism or freedom.

I know of Chinese people like this. Brainwashing is crazy powerful and effective.

The inverse also exists though. Very vocal anti-communist Chinese who got redpilled the hard way.

I like to remind people that socialism "worked" in Venezuela after 2004 as well. It always works while you have the resources you initially stole.

It's when you run out and there's no more people producing wealth that everything goes to shit.

Communism, at its core, requires the theft of equal lives as those it "supports". Either in the form of stolen wealth slowly diminished and exhausted, or sustainably in the form of a massive slave caste that doesn't count as "people". With modern tech, if you were to un-person about half the population and make them beasts of burden via repeated harsh torture, physical and mental, you'd be able to sustain communism. If you're willing to make two-thirds of people no longer people, you could probably even get to a state where you could advance.

Or, you could have capitalism, where there are many serfs, but no slaves, and can advance while everyone is free. Where obesity is considered a poor person problem, too much food and no money to afford a gym where you can waste energy for no production, just to burn off calories.

I like asking them "If it's never been implemented properly how do you know it works?"
