Before I get to the movie, I wanted to thank the Mods and all of you for everything you have done since 45 first came down that elevator. I, along with many of you, have been around since the original sub was formed. We have shitposted together, laughed together, worried together, and cried together. President Trump has finally given us our marching order, frens. I know in my heart, you won't let him down.

In light of current events, it is probably obvious why I chose to watch The Patriot again. I leave you with the words Anne Howard said at the assembly:

"Half the men in this church, including you, father- and you reverend, are as ardent patriots as I. Will you now, when you are needed most, stop at only words? Is that the sort of men you are? I ask only that you act upon the beliefs of which you have so strongly spoken, and in which you so strongly believe."

I watched it too! However, I watched Braveheart after it and I found Braveheart to be way more inspiring and more of a parallel to Trump. The way William Wallace was betrayed by the β€œNobles” more than once is what Trump has faced for 4 years.

Great point that hadn't crossed my mind, although I love Braveheart, too. What I think has been at the forefront of my thoughts is that words can be very powerful, but there comes a time for action and I believe that time is now or never 😊
