• were the ones telling me the evil in the middle east wanted to take over the world
• that US foreign aid should go to countries like Iran and Venezuela
• that we should send our young soldiers and trillions of dollars to Iraq and Afghanistan because it was in the “best interest of our country”
• that the US would never be a leading energy producer and our oil would only come from the middle east until China could ramp up solar production
• that our healthcare system (the envy of the Western Hemisphere) was inadequate and we had to be more like Canada
• that diversity is our strength all the while dividing along perceived racial and nationality based lines
• that Trump was going to put muslims and immigrants in concentration camps
• that China coming in and buying up business during the 2008 - 2010 “financial crisis” was for the good of our country
• that the US had too much power around the world and countries with abhorrent human rights records deserved a seat at the table

But they will never convince me TRUMP was ever the problem.
