They probably will throttle or shut off cell tower service. I’ve heard of mesh networks that use Bluetooth instead of relaying your messages to a cell tower. Is anyone experienced with any of these apps? Bridgefy looks like a decent mesh network messaging app.

Get some radios/walkie talkies for you and your buds, have an in and out plan and a couple of alternate routes. Have some food/warm clothes and water, make sure your spare and tools are good. Have a few road flares (these can be used to light the wettest wood and are a good signal). Most important thing is know some people going and stick together!

I posted earlier that I think everyone should go in groups and buy a walkie/two way radio for everyone in the group for this very reason. Not sure blue tooth will be very reliable.

Bluetooth turns your phone into a walkie talkie. You can create a mesh network with it.

Most Bluetooth doesn't even go as far as Wifi, so you need a really dense mesh of people who are all part of the network.
