They probably will throttle or shut off cell tower service. I’ve heard of mesh networks that use Bluetooth instead of relaying your messages to a cell tower. Is anyone experienced with any of these apps? Bridgefy looks like a decent mesh network messaging app.

Get some radios/walkie talkies for you and your buds, have an in and out plan and a couple of alternate routes. Have some food/warm clothes and water, make sure your spare and tools are good. Have a few road flares (these can be used to light the wettest wood and are a good signal). Most important thing is know some people going and stick together!
Haven't tried it but there is also Bluetooth Chat.
On both iPhone and Android?
It's on Android. Can someone verify iPhone?

These people dont know who they are dealing with!
I posted earlier that I think everyone should go in groups and buy a walkie/two way radio for everyone in the group for this very reason. Not sure blue tooth will be very reliable.
Bluetooth turns your phone into a walkie talkie. You can create a mesh network with it.
No shit. That's cool.
Most Bluetooth doesn't even go as far as Wifi, so you need a really dense mesh of people who are all part of the network.
