It feels pretty good, right?!

I walked around a busy walmart the other day and I was the only one without a mask. I made an extra round a round the story just hoping someone would call me out....not one person.

I did have a young kid working at home depot say, "sir, I have a mask for you to wear" I said, "thanks, but I'm exempt". He said, "ok"

I think when you don't wear a mask, it will empower others. It just takes one to start a movement, no?

Oh yeah, it's an act of heroism really.

It’s like the Iranians in the 70s refusing to wear the hijab.

The government killed them and now the only ones that remain claim wearing hijab as their ‘free choice’. Backwards isn’t it.

It sure it, we're an occupied nation right now. But, soon, we will retake our nation, what Trump has been saying over the past two days in incredibly heartening.

Keep up the great work. I wish we had more folk like you, especially here in GA where we're outnumbered around 25:1, mask cultists vs sane people in grocery stores.

Been wearing it in, but taking it down. Noticed more and more people doing this . No one has challenged me either. Let’s keep this up Pedes!

it's true if you ignore them nothing happens.

this is also a good exercise for people who hate confrontation. put yourself in the middle of getting yelled at. bathe in it. did you die? no? then maybe further confrontations will beok.

use maskless as a Courage Immersion Therapy.

Pretty much what I do, though I might take the mask they hold out and shove it in my pocket cause they're useful during the frequent dust storms where I live.

totally agree, what people aren't is neutral.

I haven't worn a mask apart from the first couple of weeks and I get very weird looks in the shops etc. no-one challenges me but I can tell people are uncomfortable.

1
TX2013 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they may be uncomfortable because something deep in them knows they should not be wearing it.

Just say you're exempt or have a condition. They can't ask you what it is.

Just FYI for everybody, I spoke to a buddy who works at Costco corporate and apparently there's some fine print in there membership contract that states they can basically do whatever they want including making you wear a mask no matter what. That's why they're able to get away with it, but Walmart and everyone else won't enforce that because they're a publicly accessible building. If your state or city does not have a mandate, or if it says they have exemptions, you don't have to do it.

5
Anon1970 5 points ago +5 / -0

Even if your state or city has a mandate, they still CAN NOT force you to wear a mask. The "mandate" is not a law. They have no legal standing. Seems places like Costco will need to be sued. What they are doing is tyrannical power tripping. Hit them where it really hurts.

Raindrops1984 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sam’s Club didn’t make me wear one. I was prepping for a fight at the door but nobody said a word.

4
Anon1970 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good! They know they can't legally force us to wear them. We just have to call their bluff.

1
affebonbons 1 point ago +1 / -0

But as a "private" establishment with membership specifically, they can place their own rules like you have to wear a purple suit, green socks and a top hat, legally. Same applies to the mask.

What would really hurt is not shopping there. Fuck em.

4
Anon1970 4 points ago +4 / -0

How can they be private when they are a publicly traded company? The Constitution does not become null and void at their threshold. They need to be sued for their discriminatory ways. Just look at other clubs with memberships that have been successfully sued. They will lose.

2
affebonbons 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree, and hope it happens. This needs to be optional, everywhere.

Perhaps they would prefer an ADA complaint to their corporate headquarters?

While this stuff is a step in the right direction, it screams that men in this country are a bunch of pussies. Take a lesson from the stoics. Be a man, embrace confrontation.

Undying 6 points ago +6 / -0

I went into Walgreens the other day and a security guard yelled at me to put a mask on. Some places have armed guards enforcing this shit.

Went maskless the other day in the mall with a friend of mine. No one said anything, but I did get flipped off by one guy, lol. Took me a while to work up the courage to do it, but at least I did something. I grew up in a family that always stressed "don't bring attention to yourself and don't ever make a scene that would embarrass the family!", so there was lots of guilt tripping involved. Since our freedoms are at stake, I'm learning to ignore those family voices. Power to you pede!

It's really hard. I'm a girl. I'm only 5'4, and I was raised to be kind and considerate. I hate making people uncomfortable, and I HATE conflict and confrontation. My husband and I go months without having arguments/fights because they honestly make my stomach hurt and for the most part aren't worth it to me. lol

I am really working on gaining more courage. Last Sunday I didn't wear one to church or out to lunch afterwards. It felt really good. :) I also have a lace mask that is see through that I wear if I just don't want to deal with people's crap lol.

We can do it!

4
Scoopy 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thanks for the encouragement! I despise confrontation too, so I've had to learn that the worst thing that can happen isn't so bad. It'll get better with practice I suppose.

4
killerbunny88 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same here! We can do it :)

2
TX2013 2 points ago +2 / -0

We can, the more we do, the more others will feel emboldened to do likewise. We need to get back to normal, not accept anything that resembles a new normal.

Been going maskless- telling people I was vaccinated- (havent / won’t) I’m waiting for someone to tell me that I need a mask with vaccine.

JonathanE 5 points ago +5 / -0

I would just tell them I'm immune (to scams)

SteveHuffmansTeeth 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ive said this before but I haven't worn a mask since September. Not one person has said anything to me. I was asked to leave one paint store. I am in multiple stores everyday and every interaction with people is very pleasant. One 89 year old man stopped me and asked if I knew anything about guns and we talked for 15 in the middle of an isle. Only Karens give a fuck about masks. Most poeple are like you and dont want people to feel uncomfortable.

It gets easier every time you do it.
We are blessed that our little county + local police voted way back in the spring to ignore our governor's state lockdown...We are in a BLUE state, but only because of 2 big cities and everywhere else is rural RED. Just got back from our local buffet - no masks in sight ;) So nice to feel NORMAL.

freedom2520 2 points ago +2 / -0

The store signs say mask required for entry, once you're in, social distance and take the mask off

Feels good man

killerbunny88 1 point ago +1 / -0

I went to church and out to lunch last Sunday and my husband and I didn't wear masks the whole time. It felt awesome! Only about 10 people were wearing masks in church and the service was pretty full. And only the servers were wearing masks at the restaurant we went to, and even they had their masks pulled down below their noses lol

If I do wear a mask, I wear a see through lace one lol. :) Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to put up with people's crap, but it's still an F U to the whole thing lol

1
fdagasfd 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd say that's a good way to protest masks, just take yours off at random or not wear it.

People who care will have to ask you, they'll have to make some effort, and if you really don't like confrontation you could just shrug and say you forgot. If you can stand a little more you could shrug and say you're going to stay 6 ft. away from others.

Every step you make them take to do it makes it harder.

1
LetMeBeFrank 1 point ago +1 / -0

Never wore one, never will. I don't give a fuck how uncomfortable they get. Lunatics on the left deserve to be treated as subhumans.

I fucking love making the sheep feel uncomfortable.. It's my safe space.
