Especially with all of the snow storms that could come in. Southern path is always the way to go.

Not a trucker, but have driven across the country several times. So fun to do! We have a beautiful country, but it is hard to really appreciate the size and beauty of it, if you don't make a point to actually see it.

The sunrises are always my favorite. There was one over Albuquerque that was particularly stunning. And I always try to avoid Flagstaff over the winter. Blizzards through there are no joke!

Michigan boy driving through Flagstaff during a storm. Stopped for gas and EVERYBODY told me I need chains?!?!??? I'm from Michigan, where I'm going I need no chains!!!!!

Agreed! I may not come from as far north, but I come from a snowy mountain town, so I'm all too familiar with winter weather driving. In this one particular instance, the storm dumped 3-4ft in 5 hours. Impressive.

Flagstaff is so gorgeous though. And the Petro down the mountain has some seriously good green chili pork. Fun fact on the side my username for pretty much everything online is Raptor Attack because I too love velociraptors.
