Big rigs should lead the convoy
not all checkpoints are legitimate. people die at checkpoints.
This is what I see happening:
Pede: “Good evening officer.”
Officer: “Where are you fellas headed?”
Pede: “We’re answering the President’s call to March on Washington.”
Officer: “Well, unfortunately the road is out. You’re gonna need to turn around.”
Pede: “Do you have an alternate route we should take?”
Officer: “Nope. They’re all out.”
Pede: “Officer, you can’t keep us from driving to DC. It’s our right.”
Officer: <motioning to other cops> “I’m gonna need everyone out of the vehicle while we check it for any drugs, weapons, or child pornography.”
Try that with a convoy of deplorables lined up behind you.

Hopefully by never getting into that situation in the first place.
Caravans are a good idea. Harder to intimidate a large group of people. If going alone, maybe NOT advertising your intent via Trump flags, etc. Keep weapons (legal of course) out of sight, wear non-political clothes. Have a cover story. Do whatever they say, regroup and go around, etc.
I mean the other options are turn around and go home, get arrested, or fight it out then and there.
