What are the open carry laws in Washington DC? And what are the laws for driving across state borders with a personal firearm?

As a FL cop with a carry permit. My advice is to leave your gun at home. They will charge you and it is a felony.

If you get into a situation where you need to use it, you will lose all 2A protections because you are illegally carrying said firearm and will be charged with murder.

Last I checked, In MD its almost impossible for a cop to get a carry permit for off duty use. They can only carry double action and they still have a 7 day wait period to purchase a gun.

There won’t be anyone left to charge anyone if it’s done correctly. Everyone that has one should take it. Cold dead hands you know.

How exactly does he activate us? He won’t send the military for the ‘muh dictator‘ reason. But he can hold them back from us while we do what needs done. Im against battling pantifa in the streets. They shouldn’t be the focus. DC is just the muster point. This needs to end in the front yard of the upper echelons with fire and pitchforks and nooses.

I'm a VA resident. CCW is really easy to get - take a class, shoot some rounds, pay your $80 and in a week or two they mail you your permit. Some of the cities/counties in NoVA have tried to make it harder to get around, prohibiting all weapons from city/county owned property, like parks, city halls and court houses.

I got my DC CCW and it was pretty easy, too. Class, shooty, pay money, get card. The only difference is that (1) you've got to register all your carry weapons (2) you've got to get your photo taken at the police station (they were very cool) and (3) you can't go anywhere with the CCW because almost everywhere is restricted.

That said, neither are constitutional carry, but very few places are.

Laws don’t matter anymore. Just tell them your a registered Democrat.

There is NO open carry in Washington, DC of ANY weapon, pistol or long-gun.

There is NO RECIPROCITY - your home state CCW means shit here

They have concealed carry, but only for DC residents, but non-DC folks may apply. ALL handguns must be registered and on the 'approved' list. 10 rounds and fewer. Even then, the list of prohibited locations (50' from schools, daycare facilities, hospitals, etc.; Federal land and facilities like the National Mall, Tidal Basin, White House; DC parks and facilities; any permitted gathering like a protest; restaurants that serve alcohol; etc.). In other words, it's a fucking mess.

Check this out before you pack your gat: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/dc-gun-laws/#loc_res

Just make sure you carry your pocket constitution and everyone that shows up on Jan 6 should be carrying then no one will be arrested. Constitution trumps gun laws when reclaiming your Republic.

Right. A DC cop will wither, smolder and burst into flames when he sees the Second Amendment in your pocket Constitution. Then he'll kick you in the balls and arrest you.

They won't stop ant8fa from jumping and killing you, at what point do the big become just as much a threat to use as the commies? If they think there is a chance they'll die, the cowards in LE won't do a fucking thing. Everyone should be armed to the teeth. If the DC pigs try and step they might run out of pigs all together.

Not worth it to even try to bring a firearm to the northeast. In NJ they had linked their law enforcement data base to Florida ( for example) and would try to pull over florida plate cars in an effort to get people on firearm transport violations. All those states are gun hostile. No doubt if they run my plate and find out I have CCW license they'd find a reason to search me. Best to avoid the firearm

Every state has different laws for transport, open carry, and concealed carry. There is a handy book called Travelers guide to Firearms laws of the 50 states. Map out what states you are going through and start reading.

No open carry. No reciprocity with other states for carry permits. All guns must be registered (with them). Even black powder is somewhat restricted . I would leave the guns home. Don't let the news show you all as thugs and terrorists (that is what they will say, we all know it). Don't get arrested before the battle even starts. We need every last one of you guys soon in the future.....
