Print off a map of the area you plan to be in and mark all the major landmarks, roads, statues, buildings, etc.

If you're going to have a phone you can drop pins in Google maps on the landmarks, hotel, rally points, etc. Even if you don't have service you can still see your location and navigate toward a pinned location.

Always practice opsec, don't put identifying info on a map in case it gets lost/stolen, but it's crucial to know where you are and how to get where you're going. The last thing you want is to be lost in an unfamiliar city, especially if you're not used to cities.
