Thought experiment: why is this different than past videos where perps resist arrest and people cheer when they 'get what they deserve' in terms of cops getting physical with them?

Well, we can start with the hilarity that is two officers who are unable to being down a man on ice skates. They are too weak to do their job (thanks feminism).

Then we can address the reason he is being arrested; -I'm outside, utilizing a public area to play hockey with my friends, and I don't feel like joining into your delusion regarding the need to wear a piece of cloth (that doesn't prevent the spread of COVID)-.

Who is he harming? Where is the victim? Who (or which interests) are the officers protecting? How do their actions contribute to a peaceful society?

He should be the one who determines the level of risk that is acceptable to his health, not some fuckers who watched "Bones" when they were in high school and flunked into the local police department.

Hmmm that's never been posted in any of the other videos of various perps having incidents with cops. It's never relevant. Obey the cops and you won't have any trouble. He wouldn't have been threatened with a tazer if he was compliant right?

The common refrain here in the past was 'it doesn't matter the circumstances, follow police orders and you won't have any trouble - if you don't comply you deserve whatever you get, no sympathy'.

This isnt a dude who just shot someone or waving a knnife at police. He ditn get pulled over for a traffic stop, which is tottaly expected, and then act dodgy, puttin gthe cop on edge.

These are cops on a power trip. They will never have my support.

His crime appears to be not leaving a frozen pond where he was playing hockey. But according to his friends they were leaving. So what's the crime exactly. Also, based on his body posture and tone of voice it's obvious that if the police officers could cite a law that he broke he would have complied.
