I saw an infographic on 4chan that said that the majority of twitter is a small portion of the female population so when you hear "people on twitter" discussing something, it's a small number of women talking to each other very loudly.

If Trump wasn't on Twitter it would go broke.

He should take the twitter (and google, and facebook) for their roles in blocking voices during and after this election.

Someone said he should always post on Parler an hour before he posts on Twitter. Love this idea.

he should come over to TDW

I wouldn't bother looking at Twitter if Trump wasn't there. He is the only person keeping that company alive and they know it.

(6%)(7%)(5%) = 0.00021 * 328,000,000 = 68,880 twitter users who post political opinion and are on the electro magnetic spectrum we can see and hear. So the other 1,311,120 American adults who post political content on twitter are on the dark web. We only know they are there by measuring the mass of the internet. Between you and Morgan Freeman I'm going to have this physics shit all locked down before I'm 30y/o.

They love their bot farms. They control the actual "ranking" of posts and where they sit relative to the conversation this way, but they have found that they still need "manual" ranking controls for accounts like Trumps.

This gives them the ability to frame the conversation however they want and fake consensus. They rank up dissenters and ranking down well-informed comments, either manually or by letting bots go to town and upvote themselves. The parody bot along the lines of "Trump, but Happy" was a glowing example of this; it unnaturally rose to the top for many days and showed up at the top within moments of Trump's actual tweets.

It's only a small number of people causing all this thinking their life's going to be better if they can control everything and everyone.

Twitter is at a minimum 80% extreme liberal

Twitter is mostly bots, botnets, foreigners, and the type of people who enjoy that type of echo chamber. It's greatest value is in manufacturing narrative through link sharing and screen shots. This is intentional as it is all they have, vs. Facebook which has most of the elder audience, Google which controls almost every app, etc.

This has always been the case for most of Internet traffic.

Over half of all traffic is automated, this is not exclusive to Twitter.

Dictator_Bob 1 point ago +1 / -0

That has not one fucking thing to do with what I'm saying.

This has been common knowledge for quite sometime. Twitter actively allowed bots & repeat accounts to boost its apparent market share. Twitter didn't start cleaning up its fake registrations until after it went public in 2013-2014.

Twitter has no long-term market value. There's rumors they plan to ban Trump but his participation generates so much traffic...

Dontdoxxxmeplease 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’ve had this feeling for along time. I honestly Belice most of their traffic comes from so and so reporting on so and so tweet and people gon on the site to look at it.

The voice of the left is loud, far louder than their numbers. Their numbers are an illusion.

They should be terrified that we've figured that out.

Only 22% of U.S. adults even have a Twitter account,

It's just that a very small subset of Twitter users are the ones pushing political tweets, but no, there's not just 1m Americans in Twitter lol, don't be a fool.

nateyboy [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

first off, i didn't say there's only a million. that's after you cut off the bots, the users who aren't actively posting daily, and the users who don't post about politics. The internet won't involve reading for too much longer but as long as it does Reading Comprehension is something worth working on.

Second off, the Pew Research article you're citing begins: "The share of U.S. adults who say they use certain online platforms or apps is statistically unchanged from where it stood in early 2018 despite a long stretch of controversies over privacy, fake news and censorship on social media, according to a new Pew Research Center survey conducted Jan. 8 to Feb. 7, 2019."

Now working on that reading comprehension thing: Why would they survey a group instead of just looking at the number Twitter publishes in its quarterly report since it is a publicly traded company?

My source is an article published on a marketing analytics company's website written by a NYTimes bestselling author.

https://www.convinceandconvert.com/social-media-strategy/7-surprising-statistics-about-twitter-in-america/#:~:text=While%20only%207%25%20of%20Americans%20are%20using%20it%2C,populations%20of%20Connecticut%2C%20Oregon%2C%20Kentucky%2C%20Kansas%2C%20and%20Oklahoma.

If you just want to be a contrarian then do it about something less labor intensive for me to defend. call my mom a cunt next time or something. that would be a lot less boring of a conversation.

That’s a very interesting truth. Also factor in all the people have accounts, but don’t use them. Lots of those too.

That's why the first got control of all platforms. Then locked us down and/or made it nearly impossible to socialize. They want THOSE PEOPLE to control public opinion

What if Twitter got started because it has a bunch of bots itself that faked engagement. It helped them scam the Google algo. This snowballed into the crap they have now with fake engagement tailored to a leftist narrative.

1
HiddenDekuScrub 1 point ago +1 / -0

Anecdotal, but I almost never see Twitter installed on customers' phones anymore. Facebook? Yes. Twitter? No.

Twitter strikes me as a marketing circle jerk these days. Businesses and content creators trying to communicate with fans or get their names out. Occasionally you get fanfic writers or fanartists or whatnot. But these are rare.
