I can tell from reading here and Reddit, that most people don’t know how many government agencies are not there to just make rules but work on policies and procedures of how the government works and operates. My friend in DC, she moved pretty high up the ladder and I still don’t understand what her agency does. Something like international trade polices, like the super boring stuff you see sometimes on a Cspan

I have a feeling they are not terribly busy. Not like 40-60 hard hour work week busy anyway.
I have friends in DC government jobs and it’s def 60 hour work weeks, many people estranged or divorced. Super sad to hear.
