I like pop/rock the most, there are so many amazing pop songs from The Beach Boys/Beatles era, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s then that slowly started to get into more alternative/indie territory and has more or less vanished. Everyone wants beat oriented music and while some is certainly high quality I’m saddened at how over-saturated it has become over the past decade.
I used to perform at bars, and it was always so weird to me that some of the most talented musicians and songwriters never made it out of the bar scene. I think those were the guys with the musical talent, but it was the ones who could sell themselves as a brand that would make it big. I don't follow new music, but I would guess it's still the same way.

In talking to a lot of the gen Z that I know (I’m right on the border of being millennial or a gen z), they seem to have the ability to think for themselves and recognize the BS on both sides. Unfortunately they have a habit of letting their feelings get in the way of this lol so I think most of the ones I know voted for Biden. However there is hope that they will eventually realize the error in their feelings based decision once they fully enter adulthood with the burdens of real life.
Unfortunately I have little hope for my millennial buddies who are already set in their ways and refuse to even think beyond whatever the huffington post farted out the previous day.
