I want to tell the story of my awakening and what it changed.
I'm 31 years old and was born near Frankfurt, Germany.
Since I'm a child I was a big fan of US movies like Independence Day and Armageddon, because I liked the patriotism.
To see someone fight for their country, to die for it if necessary. (And of course also because of the explosions and stuff:)) I wanted to be a us-american, because there were no patriots in german movies. As a child I didn't know why.
I growed up and learned about our past.
In the junior high the brainwashing begun. They told us everyday how bad our ancestors was and that we should be ashamed of us.
I just realised why there is no patriot in germany, but I also learned about D-Day and the heroes who liberated us.
Once again I was a big USA fan, but not for long because the teachers told us how bad the USA is. Because of the Afghanistan and Irak war and one teacher explained us 2001 why he thought 9/11 was a inside job.
They never convinced me 100%, because I couldn't imagine that the USA would sacrifice their own people for some oil. Those patriots? never. Maybe this was the moment I started to be mistrustful and didn't just believe everything my teachers said.
My friends didn't like the USA and I never understood why. I asked them why? They liberated us, all of your favorite movies are us-movies, we use windows on our computer, our Computer itself, almost everything depends on the USA. How can you hate them.
15 years later Trump fully opened my eyes. The media hated him more then anyone else, they just reported about how bad he is.
At this point I started to think: ok why? sure he doesn't look like a president, he doesn't talk like a president, but why do you hate him this much. I tried to find out. I checked every news by myself and found out that almost 100% of the bad news are fake or out of the context. I was so angry, "Those motherfuckers lied to me and I was dumb enough to believe them!".
I never trusted anyone anymore without verifying it.
Now I'm here at the TDW and realize how important this election is.
I can see what happens in your country, and It makes me so sad to see the country, I loved since I'm a child, is vanish more and more.
Maybe the 6th of January 2021 is the D-Day of today. Once again the freedom of my country, of our world depends on you guys!
Please fight for us again. Germany has fallen again. I will fight, but without your help there is no chance.

Welcome Pede! I am very happy to hear your awakening. Something similar happened to me, and after I opened up my eyes to how badly they were brainwashing us for the last 4 years, I started thinking whether it was just 4 years? How could suddenly everyone life just like that?
Thats when I did a lot of digging and realised that pretty much everything we have been taught is a lie. Everything. Almost every big human disaster has been man made, and only a handful of people are behind everything, including the current events.
The part that took me a lot of time to believe was the satanic pedo stuff, but now it makes sense. A system that is so greatly corrupt and that lives in a separate reality than ours need a very strong control to keep people in line. Thats where this stuff comes. I hope all this is cleaned up.

It's likely that 9/11 was an "inside job". But it was not real Americans that did it. We were betrayed from inside.

Depends on what you means by "inside job". I'm of the opinion that the Feds knew about it, but don't act on intel about people they know are about to commit crimes. Gives the Feds plausible deniability. You see this in a few of the high profile school shootings here, with the perpetrator known to authorities and sometimes having even committed actionable offenses, and yet nothing is done. And eventually they are gaslight into the crimes committed.

Your story is actually similar to many Americans, we get taught about patriotism and bravery of our ancestors in forging the nation and finding our place in the world, but then it switches to learning about how evil everyone was, and why Europe is an example for us to become truly free again... Ironically my openly Communist history teacher in HS was 1 of only 2 of the history teachers who focused on the importance of challenging the governments motives, understanding the media is nothing more than propaganda, caring about the freedoms our ancestors left us with, and most importantly by understanding these bad actors secretly dosed American citizens with LSD, spied on and assassinated civil rights leaders, literally planted agents in the media to influence public opinion, ect. we should come to the realization that them rigging elections, or fabricating impeachment cases, or even blackmailing a SC justice are just things they do because maintaining power is the number 1 priority, these are Americans who don't give 2 shots about the constitution or our freedoms.

I lived in the UK for the last five years and I managed to turn someone. She was like you and just thought Trump was bad, but she really had no clue why. I sat down with her and she asked a few questions about how he was racist or whatnot. I told her to look up the pictures of his getting medals for community outreach and being one of the first to let Jews and Blacks into his golf clubs. Not to mention he had a black girlfriend at one point. She went off and did her own research.
She basically experienced the same stuff you did. We went to a pub and all of a sudden she doubted literally everything and was asking about immigration issues, media bias, economic issues, cultural trends, and anything else that popped into her head. I realized then that a lot of people see the weird contradictions in their daily life (Muslims are good even though kill gays, women issues, etc).
It's great to see other people around the world follow our lead. I've lived around the world and was aware of our role, but it's stories like yours in places like this that really drive it home to some people here.
Also, be a patriot and save your country, a little at a time here and there are what lead to movements.

Your history alone would answer why you struggle with being patriotic. The last century and a half has literally fractured your country multiple times and the last world war left you with a legacy you cannot discuss without condemning it.
I was actually born in Frankfurt on the US military base. My parents told me stories about how any mention of WW2 shut down any conversation. An old man across the street (they lived in the town outside post) became quite friendly. One day the old man invites my dad into his home. After warning him, and then prefacing that he was a different man, he showed my father a picture of him as a young soldier in the SS. He wanted to relate to my dad that he also was a soldier but feared possible repercussions (maybe rightfully so).
But I can understand how a legacy like that makes it difficult to understand how Americans are so patriotic, especially considering how our faults are broadcast to the world.

Yeah it's trauma upon trauma. There was a very violent power struggle of nations and world view in Europe and we lost it, multiple times. I think Germans would love to love their country with fervor but at the same time are afraid to be cast out by that same people they would like to unite in patriotism with. It's like we are not allowed to do that. In the soccer world cup 2006 we had that feeling for a brief time and that was so damn special. It was like meeting your love after years of seperation only to lose her again. I get that patriotic feeling through Trump, that hope for something better in politics, more true.

Passion and love for country. And what we get is, a slow death.
These anecdotal stories from Patriots across the pond always choke me up. My mother was born in Germany and and died there was I was a teenager. I used to spend my summers just outside Frankfurt with her in the 90’s. It was the first country outside the US I’d ever been to and I have so many great memories of German culture and it’s people. I went to Berlin a few years ago after not having been to Germany in decades and I couldn’t believe how shameful they were of being German. Don’t ever be ashamed of events you had no part in. It’s no worse than American liberals and their obsession with slavery reparations.

I wouldn’t really watch the news but I would see it on at the gym. The sound was turned off so I would just read the headlines at the bottom of the screen and it was always anti Trump and using logic, I thought there is no way he can possibly be doing as bad as they say. It’s literally every day. One would think If he was as bad as the news said , life would be all fucked up for everyone but life carried on as normal so I knew the news had to be full of shit.

My grandfather came here from Aitrach. He was the oldest of 12. He found the American dream. Learned to be a baker and opened his own bakery. Thank you for your support. I think that a desire for patriotism is healthy and normal. All throughout history, cultures have had stories of heroes to serve as an inspiration, or even as a warning (Greek hubris, for example). It must be tough on the German psyche to be denied their heroes just because of WWII. Hitler and the Nazis no more define Germany than the Democratic Party defines the U.S.
Ultimately, people look up to winners who risk everything for great reward, so I'll leave you with General Patton's quote about Americans and their love for winning:

Thank you for this post! Really great perspective from someone on the outside. English is fantastic, especially if you were drunk! Shows what an impact the education system really makes on young minds. Even here, history has slowly been taken out of schools, as well as technical classes giving people the right skills to survive, like shop class working with wood and metal, and home economics etc. We need to clean the garbage out of our entire way of life, not just the government. These communists have worked so hard to destroy us as a free society.
