I want to come up, but I do NOT want to bring my car into the city itself, unless I can find a safe place to park it. Plus, funds are a little tight, and I'm real iffy about getting a hotel room. I'd like to find somewhere on the outskirts, maybe some local pede has a little extra room in their garage I can leave my car, and then I could find some other way to get downtown. Any suggestions?

I stayed at a hotel in Crystal City for the rally last weekend. It's only a short Metro ride from there into town (just across the river). If the Metro gets shut for any reason, it would be close enough to walk (~3 miles).
Rockville Maryland. Taking the metro train into DC

Thanks for the info brother
You'll be there at the rally?
No worries about the housing bro, I'm sure something will come up. I'm in Columbus and got a friend and his brother, both from Meridian, riding with me. There's a few people on the_Don.win Mississippi discord trying to organize a caravan. We definitely want to be part of a bigger group, in case, you know, shit goes sideways.
Will do. I gotta put in for vacation time Monday when I go back to work. that'll take a day or two to clear, then I should be able to finalize plans.
I don't live on the East coast anymore but if you end up staying outside of DC, Crystal City is about 10-15 minutes away and more reasonably priced. I'm sure a current local could provide better and more up-to-date advice. Be safe!
You can park at any metro station with a lot and take the metro in. If you park in Virginia along the blue/yellow/orange lines, there are multiple walking/bike trails that lead into the city if the mayor closes down the metro. Not too sure about the Maryland side in terms of alternate access to metro. A lot of hotels will offer shuttle service to the metro or airport as well, you’ll just need to call ahead to check what the COVID restrictions are.
Well, I was planning on staying for an extra day or two if needed. Would a person be able to leave their vehicle in a metro for multiple days?
Yes, although I’d recommend somewhere with an actual garage rather than an open lot for added security.
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. Some generous local patriot lets me stash my car in their side yard or something lol. Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know if the Regan building still has public parking underneath? It's a bit on the pricey side, but your car will be more secure than it has ever been in it's life.
Security is crawling all over the building, cars are searched for bombs and other weapons.
The only problem (aside from the price) is that it does fill up, so get there super early.
The flip side is that antifa ain't going to be anywhere fucking near there when you try to leave. You can also hop from building to building if you have to. The DC cops might be a bunch of cucks, but your average security guard is NOT going to put up with antifa in their building.
The last two times I drove in for the march I ended up parking in a lot at the end of the metro train (green line specifically in my case) and got out at the archives. Plenty of other patriots parked there too which was cool. I just brought some food/drinks, slept in the truck, and drove out from there.
The Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Metro stations should be closed that weekend. https://news.yahoo.com/franconia-van-dorn-street-metro-154332291.html
I could do that. I'm just super worried about my car being vandalized by stupid ass-wipe-tifa. I mean, I know its just a car, but my livelihood depends on it. My car goes down, I'm screwed. That's why I don't want to bring it anywhere near where there might be trouble.
