You have to cross a bridge from Virginia, but Maryland has hundreds of streets into D.C. If you want to avoid roadblocks, checkpoints, etc. Come in from Prince George's county, NOT Montgomery county. I'm native Washingtonian...

But DO NOT SPEED!! so many traffic cameras.

Also, be aware that if you have a firearm anywhere outside of your trunk and get pulled over, MD police gonna give you a bad day.
