Discovery I see has used the time travel trope again, that one's getting old, every series does it when they run out of ideas. It was fun to explore in some of the other series, they made it make sense, but you can't keep going back to that well before storylines start to conflict with each other.

With that said, I did watch Hillbilly Elergy with a family member last week and I must admit I did enjoy it.
The last one is Doctor Who, which was the longest running British sci-fi franchise, and pretty darn good in my opinion. Up until it was ruined by overly SJW writing. I’d already stopped watching during Capaldi’s stint as the Doctor, but when I heard they’d cast Jodie as the “Imposter” I knew it was over. I still enjoy watching Chris, David, and Matt though, and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for some crazy good fun.
The Mandalorian saved my love for Star Wars. They had strong women too that didn’t detract from overall narrative. No one of them was over powered like Rey. And when Cara Dune/ Gina Carino was fixing her blaster did things for me.

Star Trek was nearly-dead anyway (TNG, which started out strong as fuck, ran for too long and pretty much beat it to death, to the point where even DS9 couldn't bring it back. STD just felt like watching a zombie shamble along).
Dr. Who? The femme 'doctor' just whacked a series that needed a mercy-killing anyway. Pretty cruel way to kill it, but seriously, it did need to die IMO.
Star Wars was the only real murder here. The Hamill/Harrison/Fisher series (Eps IV-VI) was a study in awesome. Seriously - good luck topping that, fuckers. The Jar-Jar series (Eps I - III)? Ugh... it was brutal and cringey as fuck, but okay... maybe they would redeem themselves with the final three eps, right? Yeah, no... Rise Of The Mary Sue pretty much murdered that one outright. TBH, "Rey" could've had a chance as a decent character, and I'd have even gone along with it... if only they showed her earning the shit, and given her an actual personality, and not made all the male non-evil characters eunuchs, and kicked that purple-haired cunt to the curb, and... yeah, TL;DR, Rian Johnson needs the shit kicked out of him.
This makes my fucking blood boil. I loved all of these franchises, and because of forced shoehorned diversity and work writing teams - the story and lore and respect and love was lost from these characters and stories and instead we got propaganda that tasted like bland gruel.
Gina Careno was the first female lead/support character in a long time that made any sense. It’s completely off putting for some petite, 100lb woman to be beating the shit out of a bunch of 300lb 6’4” warrior men. Nothing screams high fantasy like a little woman being dominating.
I’m no boomer faggot, but I honestly couldn’t tell you who any of those women or movies are. Of it wasn’t for the little Star Trek symbol and the light saber. So If I had to I’d guess one is a Star Trek character and the other is a Star Wars one. I have no idea what the last one is. I don’t know how people watch half of the shit that wines out now. Every once in a while I’ll try, and I end up turning the shit off within 10 min. I prefer reading mostly now. With that said, I did watch Hillbilly Elergy with a family member last week and I must admit I did enjoy it.
The last one is Doctor Who, which was the longest running British sci-fi franchise, and pretty darn good in my opinion. Up until it was ruined by overly SJW writing. I’d already stopped watching during Capaldi’s stint as the Doctor, but when I heard they’d cast Jodie as the “Imposter” I knew it was over. I still enjoy watching Chris, David, and Matt though, and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for some crazy good fun.

The Mandalorian saved my love for Star Wars. They had strong women too that didn’t detract from overall narrative. No one of them was over powered like Rey. And when Cara Dune/ Gina Carino was fixing her blaster did things for me.
