Martial law calls are something that started circulating like, today, so that's a response to those news stories. Trump doesn't need to enact martial law to carry out an EO that's been in effect since 2018 or to enforce the Insurrection Act. Ruling out this option isn't great news but it's not worthy of panic. This doesn't change anything about Jan 6 plans nor the time between now and Christmas.
I could be wrong but I don't think the Insurrection act is considered martial law. He rarely tweets like this unless he has a backup plan, I'm not all that worried. The 6th will be the day that goes down in history one way or another.
