why does a merit based system need something without merit in it? also i want my DOD to be a cold machine, not a 70's hippy love and peace story

This is the report that's been in the works since July. Other than Miller is now the acting Secretary, it has nothing to do with him.

More weakening of our military for China's sake. Is there ANYBODY in our government who actually wants to see the United States survive this decade?!!

And yet at the same time they just made an option to hide your race and gender on your SRB when you send it up to a board...

Yeah, I don't think the most diverse organization in the fucking COUNTRY needs to worry about somehow getting MORE diverse. We are already a perfect cross-section of the country, though we probably lack in the upper class representation (but then who really cares about that?)...

I thought Trump issued an executive order that this shit is illegal.

All right... I'm on the Diversity and Inclusion team for my installation. I decided to jump on board to see what it's about and learn where the agenda is going. Some things I've learned:

  1. Trump cut off the arm of D&I off at the start. We can only hold events that are team oriented. Think stupid office games to boost morale.

  2. If left in this state it will die. The enthusiasm is zero, the amount of manpower wasted will become obvious in no time.

  3. We can't direct or guide discussions about race, gender or sexuality. Before Trump stopped it we could, and did. Some conversations were constructive but most were an attempt to say white people suck, and surprisingly Hispanics aren't appreciated very much either. People whine about not being included, or explain some childhood event traumatized them and that's why they hate x, y, z.

  4. D&I is actually a front that is supposed to address inequalities in punishment. It won't, period. Kinda like suicides in the military. They talk about it constantly but nothing ever changes and only gets worse. Optics chasing is what we're doing.

  5. The military is in a bad spot. Recruits want to be given a lot for little to no effort. See the recent Space Force PS5 story that dropped... Guy went to try and get a PS5 on release day and threw out a text saying PS5 > than punishment. He lost a stripe. But that's the mentality, not of all, but of a lot. Resilience is something that a lot of young people seem to lack these days.

  6. There are enough of us who think this is shit and do our best to guide and control events and conversations. At least where I'm at.

  7. Trust that Trump wins and this won't be a thing.
