The only working solution is nuclear. I've heard that the new 5th generation nuclear reactors cannot meltdown. The older ones still can though. Of course, if they would just keep the used rods underground like in a swimming pool that would solve the problem but they're not that smart. Um, gravity. They put the used rods in the attic in Fukishima so when they tried to cool them the water would not stay up long enough to cool the rods. Totally retarded.
